Amanda D Blake is a self taught artist based in Newport on the Isle of Wight. She specialises in painting with acrylics on box canvas and sculpting in air drying clay. With styles ranging from abstract to surrealist she paints with her own style of humour . Whether it's a snail on a zimmer frame or a budgerigar on a parachute, her humour adds a certain unique charm to her artwork. A vegetarian from an early age, Amanda always uses synthetic brushes and avoids paints containing any animal derivatives. When she's not working on her next piece you will find her strutting across the Island landscapes with any of her five little dogs in tow and wellie boots afoot !
