Whilst Amanda likes to use her imagination and humour to create her unique style of paintings, she is also keen to experiment with more main stream art depicting flowers and blossoms. However, rather than the traditional setting of vases and landscapes, Amanda prefers to lend her own style of painting to these floral pictures in a mildly abstract manner.

These beautifull flowery pictures were painted with acrylics on 20" x 16" box canvas. Amanda chose to paint them using a range of pastel shades to give them a softer look and the blooms are taken out of context being not attached to plants. Although similar in style each picture is unique in its layout and demonstrates the use of colour to create variety whilst maintaining an element of similarity. She painted her signature in pink to help soften the overall look of her work.

" The Fuschia" picture was Amanda's first real attempt at a large floral picture which she painted in early 2013 .

Once again painted with acrylic paints on a 36" x 24" box canvas the picture depicts a single bloom against a background of leaves.

Amanda is currently working on a variety of more floral pictures which will be added to this gallery page soon.
